Shehbaz attends funerals of Shaheed Capt Faraz Ilyas

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attended the funerals of Capt Shaheed Faraz Ilyas who was martyred alongwith six soldiers after an improvised explosive device hit their vehicle in Lakki Marwat district yesterday.

After the funerals, the prime minister met with the parents of the Shaheed and offered condolences. He announced to name the native village of Shaheed Capt Faraz Ilyas after him. The prime minister said that the sacrifice of the Capt would not go vain.

Shaheed Capt Faraz Ilyas was laid to rest with full military honours.

Meanwhile, the funeral prayers of other martyrs were offered in Mian Chano.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), funeral prayers were offered for the martyrs of the mine blast in Lucky Marwat yesterday. Corps Commander Peshawar, serving officers, soldiers and people participated in the funeral prayer.

ISPR said that the martyrs will be laid to rest with military honors in their native areas.
