PM Shehbaz Sharif announces free e-bikes scheme for students

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched a new program to distribute electric motorcycles to outstanding students from government schools.

This initiative aims to encourage academic excellence and promote eco-friendly transportation.

During a meeting focused on boosting electric vehicle adoption, PM Shehbaz Sharif announced that meritorious students will receive e-motorbikes, recognizing their hard work and dedication.

In addition to the student-focused initiative, PM Shehbaz Sharif has instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to develop a comprehensive plan for electric-powered public transportation in Islamabad.

Furthermore, the prime minister has directed all federal ministries to exclusively purchase electric motorbikes for federal government departments, effective immediately.

The PM’s plan to promote electric transportation in Pakistan is a testament to the government’s commitment to sustainable development and reducing the country’s carbon footprint.
