Shireen Mazari’s name ordered to remove from ECL
The Islamabad High Court has ordered to remove the name of former federal minister for human rights Shireen Mazari from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Justice Saman Rifat Imtiaz heard the petition to remove Shireen Mazari’s name from ECL in Islamabad High Court, where the former federal minister appeared along with her lawyer.
NAB Prosecutor Rafi Maqsood said that we had recommended removing Shireen Mazari’s name from ECL in March itself.
According to Rafi Maqsood, Shireen Mazari is not an accused in the 190 million pound NAB case.
The Assistant Attorney General said that we also wrote a letter to the prime minister on March 27 and informed that Shireen Mazari is not involved in this case.
Justice Saman Rifat Imtiaz said that the Cabinet has many other tasks so we will do this work.
The court disposed of the petition ordering the removal of Shireen Mazari’s name from the ECL.
Earlier, the Islamabad High Court ceased police from capturing attorney and human rights activist Imaan Zainab Mazari in a criminal trick case.
