Shraddha Kapoor’s ‘Stree 2’ beats Prabhas’ ‘Baahubali 2’ at box office

Bollywood actresses Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s super hit comedy-horror film ‘Stree 2′ has overtaken Superstar Prabhas’ film ‘Baahubuli 2’ at the box office.

Released on August 15th, the film ‘Stree 2’ has created a sensation at the box office since the first day of its release. The film which has done a worldwide business of crores of rupees has recently achieved another big feat.

Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Stree 2′ has become the record-breaking success in the history of Indian film industry, beating Prabhas’ blockbuster ‘Baahubali 2’. It has also become the third highest grossing Hindi film.

According to the Indian media, the film ‘Stree 2’ has performed brilliantly in its first 24 days at the box office, making a business of INR 516.25 crore, while South Indian film industry star Prabhas’s film ‘Baahubali 2’ earned INR 510.99 crore in 24 days.

Amar Kaushik’s directorial film ‘Stree 2’ entered the 500 crore club on the 22nd day of its release, with Shraddha Kapoor’s film making it to the 500 crore mark after Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’. It has also become the second fastest Hindi film to enter the 500 crore club.

It should be noted that apart from Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, the other cast members of the film also include Abhishek Banerjee, Aparishakti Khurana and Pankaj Tripathi while Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia made guest appearances in the film.
