SIC announces to move SC if reserved seats not allocated

PTI lawyer Ali Zafar has said that if our seats are divided between PPP and PML-N then we will move to the Supreme Court.

After the hearing of case related to allocation of reserved seats in the Election Commission, Ali Zafar said that it is not written anywhere in the letter of the Sunni Ittehad Council that they do not want to take reserved seats. This SIC letter has nothing to do with the matter, he added.

Barrister Ali Zafar said that the arguments from both sides is over. If the laws are strict for us, they should not be relaxed for others. The Election Commission cannot amend the Constitution under any circumstances, he added.

He said that political parties try to embezzle someone else’s share when they get a chance. Both PPP and PML-N want to get the reserved seats meant for SIC, he added.

The PTI lawyer said that the Election Commission cannot leave this matter undecided. Where it is written in the Constitution that the list cannot be re-submitted to ECP. The election of Speaker, Deputy Speaker, President will also become controversial.

The PTI leader said that the reserved seats in the political system will be based on merit. The Sunni Ittehad Council will get reserved seats.
