Six gunned down over land dispute

An armed clash over a land dispute claimed lives of six people in Nawabshah.

Members of two groups opened fire at each other, killing six people.

According to the police, the firing incident took place in Haji Wahid Bakhsh Dahri village where there was a land dispute between two groups.

Police said that as a result of firing, six people were killed and as many injured.

They said the bodies and the injured had been shifted to the hospital and further legal action is being taken.

Earlier, three people were killed when a car they were travelling in overturned and fell into a ravine on the Indus Highway near Jamshoro.

According to the police, when the police signaled a vehicle to stop on the Indus Highway, the occupants of the vehicle opened fire on the police and fled.

The police chased the car while retaliating fire, when the speeding vehicle fell into a pit near Khanot. As a result, three occupants of the car died on the spot.

The police said that the bodies of those killed were taken out and shifted to the hospital.
