Sonya Hussyn has advice for young actors
In a recent appearance on Ushna Shah’s show on private TV channel, acclaimed Pakistani actress Sonya Hussyn shared her insights on the struggles of making it big in the entertainment industry.
Hussyn stressed the need for aspiring actors to focus on hard work and dedication, rather than making excuses for their lack of success.
According to Hussyn, many new actors tend to blame external factors such as complexion or nepotism for not getting the desired opportunities.
However, she disagrees, stating that while favoritism may exist to some extent, talent and hard work ultimately triumph. “No force can hold back an individual who is good at their craft,” she added.

Hussyn’s comments come after fellow actress Saboor Aly highlighted the issue of complexion bias in the industry, where lighter-skinned actors are often preferred for lead roles. Saboor noted that this has led to a surge in demand for whitening injections.
