The chief of Meteorological Department has said that the heat and humidity are likely to continue today in Karachi.
The Meteorological Department said the city is currently in the grip of hot and humid weather. The weather will remain hot and humid during the next 24 hours, while there is a chance of thundershowers at some places.
The maximum temperature in the city is expected to be between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was recorded at 32.5 degrees Celsius.
The Meteorological Department further said the humidity in the air is 80 per cent and the sea breeze is blowing at a speed of 18 km per hour.
On the other hand, on the night of July 17, the highest temperature was recorded at 32.5 degrees Celsius.
The average temperature in the city in July is 27.9 degrees Celsius, but the nights of July 1 and then Tuesday, July 16 proved to be the hottest nights of the year when the temperature was 32 degrees Celsius.
However, on the night of Wednesday July 17, the temperature rose even higher and was the hottest night of the year so far. The temperature was recorded at 32.5 degrees.
