ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) today postponed its power show in Islamabad on orders of jailed party founder Imran Khan.

The announcement was made by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan saying that the power show has been postponed on the direction of Imran Khan.

According to sources privy to the development, PTI postponed it’s public gathering after a special message from the government was conveyed to Imran Khan through Azam Swati.

The message from the government played a crucial role in Imran Khan’s decision to postpone the rally for the “final time,” sources familiar to the development told GTV News.

Earlier in the day, PTI chairman Gohar said that party postponed a planned rally in Islamabad’s Tarnol to avoid potential unrest in the country, describing the decision as “tough”.

Addressing the media outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail following a meeting with Imran Khan, Gohar explained that the decision to delay the rally was made out of concern for maintaining peace, particularly in light of rising tensions in Islamabad.

“Our party firmly believes in resolving issues through lawful means, and we cannot afford to let any situation spiral into chaos,” he stated.

The PTI chairman noted that religious groups were reportedly gathering in Islamabad’s Red Zone, prompting fears of potential unrest.
