Tajikistan eyes promotion of land linkages with Pakistan.

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon said that his country wants to promote land linkages with Pakistan for regional development and prosperity.

He was speaking at a banquet hosted which the President Dr Arif Alvi hosted in his honour at Presidency in Islamabad.

The distinguish guest Tajik President said his country considers Pakistan as a brotherly and reliable partner.

Furthermore, he said that his visit to will give a new impetus to relations between the two countries.

He said that agreements signed with Pakistan will take the relationship to new heights.

He also invited Dr Arif Alvi to visit Tajikistan.

While addressing the event, the host, President Dr. Arif Alvi said the relationship between both countries is getting better and stronger day by day.

He further said Pakistan will provide access to Central Asian states to trade with the world through its ports.

The President said bilateral relations in the areas of trade, investment and people to people contact will be further enhanced.

Moreover, the president highlighted Pakistan’s “Vision Central Asia.

That laid strong emphasis on forging deeper links with Central Asian states in trade, investment, energy, security and defence, and people-to-people exchanges.
