‘This is my last T20 World Cup’

New Zealand fast bowler Trent Boult has said that the ongoing T20 World Cup will be his last mega event of 20-over format.

West Indies beat New Zealand by 13 runs in the T20 World Cup. Earlier, the Kiwi team was also defeated by Afghanistan after which they were eliminated from the World Cup.

Kiwi fast bowler Trent Boult said that this is his last T20 World Cup. He added he would not be in the team till the 2026 World Cup.

Boult has taken 81 wickets in 60 T20 International matches, his economy rate is 7.76 while he was the leading wicket taker in 2014 and 2021.

It should be noted that teams from four groups have been lined up for the Super Eight stage. India and the USA have qualified from Group A. Australia have so far qualified from Group B while Afghanistan and West Indies have progressed from Group C. South Africa have qualified from Group D.

Afghanistan, Australia and India have made it to Group One of the Super Eight, while the group will include one more team.

South Africa, USA and West Indies have made it to Group Two, but one team is yet to qualify.
