Time of today’s National Assembly session changed; agenda released

The agenda of the today’s important session of the National Assembly has been released.

The National Assembly session was convened at 11:30 today for which the 6-point agenda was also released, but now the schedule has been changed.

Now, the National Assembly session will be held at 4 pm instead of 11:30 am.

The agenda of today’s National Assembly session includes two calling-attention notices in addition to the interval questions.

Expressing gratitude for the president’s address to the joint session of the Parliament is also included in the agenda, besides the matter of raising objections by the members is also a part of the agenda.

The government’s proposed constitutional amendment bill is likely to be tabled through a supplementary agenda.

The role of Jamiat Ulema Islam-F (JUI) has become important for the approval of the constitutional amendment by the National Assembly. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has met Maulana Fazlur Rehman twice in a few days, while President Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also met the JUI-F chief and requested him to support the constitutional amendment.

Apart from this, the delegation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf also met Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence last night.

It should be noted that apart from the National Assembly, the meeting of the Senate has also been called at 4 pm today.
