TLP Naib Ameer Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah arrested for threatening CJP Isa

Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) Vice Ameer Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah, who had gone in hiding in Okara, has been arrested after being booked for inciting violence against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa.

His arrest came after a case was lodged against him for a speech made during a protest rally outside the Lahore Press Club during a demonstration against the SC verdict in the Mubarak Sani case.

Earlier, a  case was registered against TLP Naib Ameer Pir Zaheerul Hasan Shah at Qila Gujar Singh police station on the complaint of SHO Hammad Hussain.

The case includes provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act, religious hatred, sedition, pressure on the judiciary, intimidation of the supreme judiciary, interference with government and obstruction of statutory duties.

According to the FIR, Pir Zaheerul Hasan spread hatred against the supreme judiciary by protesting outside the press club.

A case has also been registered against 1500 workers including the TLP vice-chairman.

On the other hand, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has said that strict action will be taken for issuing death threats to Chief Justice as the state will not tolerate killing fatwas.
