Hafiz Saad Rizvi, head of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, and Maulana Ashraf Jalali, leader of Tehreek e Labbaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLY), have been tried in a Dutch court on the charge of inciting the murder of anti-Islamic Dutch politician Geert Wilders, who had announced a competition for insulting cartoons.

According to foreign media, right-wing anti-Islam Dutch member of parliament Geert Wilders has filed a petition against Saad Rizvi and Maulana Ashraf Jalali in the Amsterdam High Court.

According to the report, Saad Rizvi and Maulana Ashraf Jalali are accused of inciting people to kill anti-Islamic politician Geert Wilders on the charge of blasphemy.

The case was tried in the absence of the two Pakistani nationals in the court and no lawyer was present on their behalf. Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion.

Dutch prosecutors demanded that the two Pakistani nationals be sentenced to 14 years in prison.

Dutch prosecutors alleged that Maulana Ashraf Jalali had issued a fatwa to kill an anti-Islamic Dutch politician, while Saad Rizvi, leader of Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan, is also accused of instigating the killing of Geert Wilders.

In a letter, the Dutch government told the parliament that Pakistan has not responded to several requests regarding the extradition of the accused, and the government will continue to press Islamabad on this issue.

It should be noted that the Netherlands does not have any legal assistance agreement with Pakistan.
