TV anchor Ayesha Jehanzeb reconciles with husband amid domestic violence charges

TV anchor Ayesha Jehanzeb and her husband Haris Ali have reached a reconciliation agreement.
The TV anchor appeared in a Lahore’s session court with her lawyer Asim Mumtaz to record her statement. The couple, during the hearing, reached an agreement. The judge inquired Ayesha if she was present voluntarily, seeing the visible signs of violence on her face.
The TV anchor responded that what happened was very cruel and should not happen to any woman. She said that, however, she accepts the decision taken by the respected elders.
The anchor stated that she does not wish to pursue the case further. She emphasized the decision was made in the presence of witnesses.
Earlier, TV anchor Ayesha Jehanzeb was allegedly tortured by her husband.
According to the female anchor, there was an argument with her husband Haris, on which he subjected her to torture. After medico-legal examination, Ayesha registered a case against her husband Haris under the provisions of murder.
Police said a case has been registered against Ayesha Jehanzeb’s husband. They said that Ayesha Jehanzeb’s husband Haris was arrested and the investigation underway.
