Ubaid Shah reveals HBL PSL 9 goal

15 February, 2024 13:11

Rookie pacer Ubaid Shah is gearing up for his HBL Pakistan Super League debut as he reveals his goal during his maiden season.

Shah, who is part of Islamabad United along with his elder brothers Naseem Shah and Hunain Shah, has joined the camp after impressive outing in the recently concluded ICC U19 World Cup.

“I enjoyed bowling with Naseem today where he told me about bowling in T20 as per the conditions,” he told reports after the session.

“It has benefited me and I will try to perform well for United as much as possible,” he added.

Commenting on his HBL PSL goal, he said would like to dismiss top batters during the tournament.

“The batting quality in HBL PSL is great and I will strive to dismiss top batters, including Babar Azam,” he added.

All three brothers aspire to represent the country together, with Ubaid ready for any opportunity in any format.

It is worth mentioning here that Pakistan’s pace spearhead was a model of consistency at the tournament with at least two wickets in every group match, highlighted by a sensational five-wicket haul against Bangladesh that catapulted his side into the semi-finals.

The younger brother of Pakistan international Naseem Shah bowls with super pace and has caused opposition batters plenty of headaches with his ability to generate movement with the new ball.

He claimed a total of 18 wickets at an impressive rate 12.38.
