Former Pakistan cricketers Wasim Akram, Javed Miandad, and Inzamam-ul-Haq, have expressed their disappointment and concern over the national men’s team’s historic 2-0 loss in the Test series against Bangladesh.

The Green Shirts suffered a humiliating defeat, losing both matches convincingly.

The legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram criticised the team’s performance, stating, “It’s a huge setback, and our cricket is at a crossroads.” He expressed his embarrassment at the team’s inability to capitalize on good positions, saying, “I simply don’t get it. We are losing on a consistent basis at home, and that says a lot about the quality of Pakistan cricket.”

Javed Miandad, known for his blunt remarks, also expressed his disappointment, specifically with the team’s batting woes. He praised Bangladesh for their disciplined performances, saying, “It is hurting that our cricket has come to this stage. Bangladesh deserve credit for their disciplined performance. But the way our batting has collapsed in this series is a bad sign.”

Inzamam-ul-Haq, former captain, expressed concerns over the team’s struggle in home conditions. He emphasized the importance of batsmen scoring runs, saying, “Home series were always considered our best chance of beating the best sides in the past. But for this to happen, the batsmen need to get runs.”
