Watch: CM Punk congratulates Palestine’s Belal Muhammad

WWE mega-star CM Punk congratulated his former UFC teammate Belal Muhammad on winning the welterweight champion.

The 36-year-old fighter made history by becoming the first mixed martial arts fighter of Palestinian background to win a UFC title defeating Leon Edwards.

“I want to take a minute to shout out and give some flowers to my good friend, my teammate, my brother Belal Muhammad, who won the UFC welterweight title. It’s been a busy week, but I didn’t forget. Congratulations,” said CM Punk on Monday night Raw.

“I love seeing good thing happened to good people and I love watching hard work pay off.”

Belal scored a five-round unanimous decision victory (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) at the UFC 304 bout on Saturday.

“It’s not just about myself, it’s about them [Palestinians and the people in Gaza]” that he is fighting for, Muhammad was quoted as saying before his fight in Manchester, England.
