Bollywood actor and former Bigg Boss winner Gauhar Khan has slammed the management of a shopping mall in Bengaluru, Karnataka after a 70-year-old farmer was ejected from the premises for wearing a dhoti.

According to reports, Fakirappa, a 70-year-old farmer, was thrown out of the mall while attempting to watch a film with his son.

Gauhar Khan, known for her strong stance on social issues, has added her voice to the chorus of condemnation, terming the incident as “absolutely unacceptable and shameful.”

In a statement posted on her official Instagram story, Khan described the treatment of the elderly man as “highly unethical and disgraceful.”

She emphasized the importance of respecting Indian culture and tradition, stating that the ‘dhoti’ and ‘kurta’ are integral parts of the country’s heritage and should be a source of pride.

The Bollywood actor has demanded swift and severe action against those responsible to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
