Watch: Mariyam Nafees ‘defends’ girls involved in Lahore assault case

Pakistani actress Mariyam Nafees publicly confirmed on social media that she personally knows the girls in the Lahore Garden Town petrol pump tuck shop incident.

Mariyam took to Instagram to detail exactly how the incident unfolded.

“I know two of those girls and one is a very good friend of mine. They started beating the guy as a last resort when he started commenting about their bodies, calling those prostitutes and working girls.

“He also compared their bodies saying ye choti hai, ye bari hai, and all the sick things guys can do and say.

“After that, those girls said to him you can’t talk to us like this after which he started using abusive language. He said filthy words to them and asked them to leave the store but the girls replied, “Why should we leave the store?

Demanding the full video from the shop owner, Mariyam further said: “Unfortunately, we live in a society where you have to provide proof if you have been harassed.”
