WhatsApp bringing exciting new feature for status updates

In a bid to enhance user experience, WhatsApp, the most-used instant messaging platform, is rolling out a redesigned status update preview feature, currently available to select beta testers.

The new feature aims to provide a more streamlined and visually appealing way to view updates, addressing a long-standing issue that made it difficult to identify contacts at a glance.

According to reports, the revamped feature appears as a thumbnail on the right side of the screen for users who follow channels, maintaining an uncluttered updates tab with a horizontal layout.

For those who don’t follow channels, WhatsApp has introduced a vertical list with a redesigned thumbnail that previews status updates alongside the profile photo.

The latest update resolves the previous issue where the profile photo was replaced by the preview, making it easier for users to quickly identify contacts.

The status feature is expected to roll out to more users in the coming days, providing a more efficient way to browse status updates.
