Who will be Pakistan’s head coach?

The misery of the Pakistan head coach is about to be resolved as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shortlisted Luke Ronchi and Gary Kirsten for the role.

The decision from the board is expected next week with players currently preparing for the New Zealand series in the fitness camp at an army base in Kakul.

The board had initially contacted HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine winning coach Mike Hesson, Peshawar Zalmi’s Darran Sammy and Shane Watson of Quetta Gladiators for the role but they turned down the offer.

However, both Kirsten and Ronchi have showed interest in the role and requested time before giving their consent.

According to Cricket Pakistan, long-term contracts have been offered to both of them.

Apart from the board officials will also acquire the services of local coaches along with foreign coaches.

Saeed Ajmal and Umar Gul already have a two-year contract with the board.
