Why 3 CMs will attend Zardari’s swearing-in ceremony?

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has refused to participate in the swearing-in ceremony of newly elected President Asif Zardari and demanded re-election in the country.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister, while demanding re-election, said that our mandate has been stolen in the entire country and he would hold a peaceful protest in Peshawar today.

Ali Amin Gandapur said that the judiciary should take action against mandate theft. He also demanded the immediate resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.

The swearing-in of the newly elected President Asif Ali Zardari will take place today at 4 pm at the President’s House.

Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Qazi Faiz Isa will administer oath to the newly elected president.

Yesterday, PPP’s Asif Zardari was elected as the 14th president of the country with a huge majority.

As per results, Asif Zardari got 255 votes in parliament while Mahmood Achakzai bagged 119 votes. In Punjab Assembly, the PPP candidate got 43 electoral votes while SIC candidate secured 18 votes. In Sindh Assembly, the former president received 58 votes while PkMAP’s Achakzai got only 3 votes.

Asif Zardari got 8 votes while Mahmood Achakzai bagged 41 votes in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
