Why did Hema Malini initially refuse to work in film Baghban?

Hema Malini, who played the role of a mother in Bollywood’s super hit film Baghban, had earlier refused to work in the film.

According to Indian media, on the occasion of the film’s anniversary, Hema Malini talked about playing the role of the parents.

Reports said that the senior actress did not want to play the role of the mother of four young actors in the film Baghban as she had never played the role of a mother before, her mother insisted to play the role.

They added that Hema Malini’s mother said that Amitabh Bachchan is also part of the cast of the film who is playing the role of the father. After which the actress agreed to act in the movie.

It should be noted that actors Salman Khan along with Aman Verma, Sameer Soni, Sahil Chadha and Nasir Khan played the role of children in that film.
