IRGC Navy Official Says Strength Remains Iran’s Ultimate Deterrent

Mohammad Akbarzadeh has emphasized that national power remains the most effective guarantee against external threats, arguing that Iran’s adversaries retreat only when confronted with strength. Speaking at a ceremony in the southern port city of Bandar Abbas on Saturday, the senior IRGC Navy official said maintaining military and national capabilities is essential for safeguarding the country’s interests.
Akbarzadeh stated that Iran’s enemies have repeatedly altered their approach only after encountering strong resistance and deterrence. He argued that relying on power and preparedness has been a key factor in preventing hostile actions and protecting national security, adding that adversaries understand the costs of confrontation when faced with a capable response. Similar remarks by Akbarzadeh in recent months have highlighted the role of military readiness and deterrence in Iran’s defense strategy.
The IRGC Navy official also stressed the importance of preserving national unity and vigilance in the face of regional challenges. His comments come amid ongoing diplomatic developments and security discussions in the region, with Iranian officials continuing to underscore the need for strength and preparedness as the foundation of the country’s defense and foreign policy approach.
