PM Shahbaz Expresses Grief as Death Toll in Lahore Tuition Centre Collapse Rises, Three Arrested

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of children in the roof collapse at a private tuition centre in Lahore’s Kahna area. He extended his condolences to the bereaved families, prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured children, and directed authorities to ensure they receive the best possible medical treatment.
Hospital officials said the children who lost their lives were between 4 and 12 years of age. The deceased have been identified as Abdullah (8), Salman (8), Arooj (9), Mah Noor (8), Tashbeeh (7), Fawad (8), Iman Fatima (11), Khadija (12), Arooj (6), Murtaza (4), Rimsha (6), Ali (6), Arham (8), Dua (7), and Abdullah (7). Officials said several other children remain under treatment following the incident.
Police have launched an investigation into the collapse and have arrested the owner of the building, Rehan, his brother Muhammad Faizan, and mason Umair for questioning. Authorities said legal proceedings are underway as investigators examine whether negligence or violations of building safety regulations contributed to the tragedy.
