Iran Dominates Greco-Roman Event at U20 Asian Wrestling Championships

Iran secured the Greco-Roman team title at the U20 Asian Wrestling Championships in Pattaya, Thailand, after finishing with a commanding total of 190 points. The victory highlighted Iran’s strong performance across multiple weight categories in the continental competition.
The Iranian team collected a total of nine medals, including five gold, one silver, and three bronze. Gold medals were won by Armin Shamsipour (55kg), Ali Gharibbi (63kg), Alireza Mohammadhosseini (82kg), Amirsam Mohammadi (97kg), and Amirhossein Abdoli (130kg), reflecting the team’s depth and consistency.
Mohammad Kazemi earned silver in the 72kg category, while bronze medals were secured by Amirali Heydari (60kg), Mohammadreza Gholami (67kg), and Amirhossein Nematzadeh (87kg). The tournament is being held under United World Wrestling and features top young athletes from across Asia competing in Greco-Roman, freestyle, and women’s events.
