Israeli Oil Refineries Reportedly Suffer Heavy Damage After Iranian Missile Strikes

02 July, 2026 20:51

Israel’s largest oil refineries in Haifa Bay have reportedly sustained more extensive damage from Iranian missile strikes than previously acknowledged by Israeli authorities, according to media reports. The strikes are said to have occurred during the latest escalation in hostilities between Iran and Israel earlier this year.

Reports indicate that refineries in northern areas of the occupied territories were hit in two separate attacks, causing significant structural damage. One storage tank for oil derivatives struck in March is reportedly beyond repair, adding to concerns about the facility’s operational capacity.

The facilities had also suffered damage during earlier confrontations, including a 12-day conflict last year. In addition, reports claim that three employees of the Bazan refinery were killed in June 2025 when missiles reportedly bypassed Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system.
