Erdogan Reaffirms Support for Pakistan Welcomes Cooperation on Regional Peace

Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he held wide-ranging discussions with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif covering bilateral relations, as well as regional and international issues, during a joint press conference following their meeting.

Erdogan said Turkiye and Pakistan would continue to stand by each other, describing the relationship between the two countries as one of enduring friendship and cooperation. He also welcomed the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, saying it was an important step towards promoting dialogue and contributing to global peace.

The Turkish president said Turkiye would continue to support efforts aimed at promoting peace and prosperity. He also praised Pakistan’s initiatives for peace, development and regional stability, describing them as constructive contributions to broader international efforts.
