IRGC Navy Chief Warns of “Divine Retribution” in Message Marking Khamenei’s Funeral

The Chief commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy, Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei, said Iran’s armed forces are committed to continuing what he described as the path of Martyred Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. In a message released on Saturday, he also warned that “divine retribution” against the United States and Israel is imminent.
Ozmaei said naval personnel tasked with securing the strategic Strait of Hormuz have renewed their pledge of “strength and perseverance” in support of Iran’s leadership. He described the ongoing funeral ceremonies for Khamenei as a moment of renewed commitment to his ideological and political legacy.
He further stated that Iran’s military forces remain determined to defend what he called the “Islamic nation” and resist external pressures. His remarks included strong language directed at the United States and Israel, reflecting heightened rhetoric during the period of national mourning in Iran.
