Ansarullah Official Says Khamenei Targeted Over Palestine Stance

A Senior member of Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance movement has claimed that the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was driven by his leadership role and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. Speaking in an interview on Sunday, Mohammed al-Bukhaiti said the late Iranian leader’s influence extended far beyond Iran’s borders, describing him as a symbol of resistance and independence for nations opposing American and Zionist dominance.

Al-Bukhaiti argued that Ayatollah Khamenei’s intellectual and political vision across the Islamic world, combined with his longstanding support for the liberation of Palestine, made him a primary target for Western powers. He asserted that these positions were among the key reasons behind what he described as the West’s determination to assassinate the Iranian leader.

The Ansarullah official said Khamenei’s legacy would continue to inspire resistance movements across the region despite his death. His remarks reflect the movement’s view of the circumstances surrounding the assassination and its broader geopolitical implications.
