PM Shehbaz, President Zardari Congratulate US on 250th Independence Anniversary

ISLAMABAD – On Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari marked the United States’ 250th Independence anniversary by congratulating President Donald Trump and the American people.

On X, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif wrote that Pakistan pass on good wishes to the United States on its 250th Independence anniversary and celebrating the ideals of freedom, resilience and democracy.

Stating, Pakistan and the United States have built a lasting partnership over the past seven decades, supported by the offerings of the Pakistani-American community, its relationship with the United States based on mutual respect, through constructive engagement and mutual respect.

The prime minister said Pakistan and the United States have stood together during important moments in history to support global peace and security. He also accredited President Donald Trump’s part in encouraging peace in South Asia and his determinations to help resolve international clashes.

Also, President Asif Ali Zardari also congratulated President Trump and the American people on the anniversary in a separate message. He praised US as a nation has built its legacy on power, modernism, free will, equality and prospect.

He also prominent achievements of American people which have made an important contribution to global progress and prosperity, over the past 250 years.

Further stated, the two countries have a long history of assistance, built on mutual respect shared interests and a common commitment to peace security and economic progress.

The Pakistani-American community has played an important role in firming ties among the two countries by constructing bond and understanding added president.

He said Pakistan-US relations are moving in a positive direction and stressed the need for continued cooperation in areas including energy, trade, investment, defence and counter-terrorism.

President Zardari also appreciated the confidence shown by the United States in Pakistan’s role in facilitating talks with Iran. He said lasting peace can only be achieved through dialogue, diplomacy and efforts to reduce tensions.

He also said the people of Pakistan would be honoured to welcome President Donald Trump to Islamabad at his earliest convenience.
