Iran Says Over 1,000 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Retaliatory Strikes

Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi says at least 1,000 Israeli soldiers have been killed in Iran’s retaliatory attacks against military installations, strategic sites and intelligence centers across the occupied territories.

Speaking on Monday, Shekarchi said thousands of additional Israeli military personnel had also been wounded during the joint US-Israeli war against Iran, which he said began in late February. He added that evidence indicated the United States had also suffered hundreds of military deaths and thousands of injuries during Iranian drone and missile attacks on US bases in the region in July.

Shekarchi accused Washington and Tel Aviv of concealing the actual number of military casualties and misleading the public about losses suffered during the conflict. He pointed to the delayed disclosure of US military deaths from the Afghanistan and Iraq wars as an example of what he described as Washington’s policy of withholding casualty figures.

The Iranian military spokesman further described the US military as a “Hollywood and propaganda army,” accusing Washington of using its military power to exploit the resources of Muslim countries.
