YouTube Music set to get This AI-powered feature

YouTube Music is reportedly preparing to introduce a new AI feature that will enable users to search for music through voice commands and verbal prompts.

According to Android Authority, this innovative feature was identified in the YouTube Music app for Android version 7.06.53.

The upcoming ‘Ask for Music’ feature will allow users to search for their desired music by using verbal prompts and voice commands. Initially, the feature will be accessible to select groups of Android users, with plans for a broader rollout in the future.

However, a disclaimer in the app’s code notes that “AI-generated responses are experimental. Quality and accuracy may vary. Please don’t enter confidential or personal information regarding yourself or others.”

Currently, YouTube Music users must manually enter the names of songs or artists to find their desired music.

In addition to this AI-powered search capability, YouTube Music has also introduced a “Hum to Search” feature recently. This feature allows users to find songs by humming, singing, or whistling a melody.
