YouTube Music’s ‘Hum to Search’ AI feature now available on Android and iOS

Most people prefer YouTube to listen to songs and for this purpose Google has introduced a separate service called YouTube Music.

If you use YouTube Music, the good news is that it now has a tool available to all users that lets you find your favorite song just by humming.

Google announced the introduction of this feature in May 2024 and is now available to all users.

A tool called ‘hum to search’ was available to Android users in the beta version of YouTube Music since March 2024. Now, the company has announced that it is possible to hum search over 100 million songs in YouTube Music.

Android as well as iOS users can also use this tool.

Along with humming, you will also be able to find it by playing the lyrics.

How to use the feature?
To use it, open the app and click on the magnifying glass icon on the top right corner.

Clicking on it will show a waveform icon next to the microphone icon. Click this icon to hum the song or play its lyrics, after which the song name and other details will be displayed in a full-screen result page.

For this feature, Google is using artificial intelligence (AI) technology that will match the humming sound to the original recording.
