12 million doses of anti covid vaccine administered across the country so far.

Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr. Faisal Sultan said, while briefing the media persons in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

He further said that two million doses of anti covid vaccine still remain available in the country.

The government is ensuring procurement of additional doses.

Dr Faisal Sultan said about two thousand vaccination centres across the country are working.

Moreover, the provincial and local authorities are working to ensure that no center faces any shortage of vaccination.

He said the situation will further improve after 20th June with the availability of additional doses.

He said that the vaccine situation would improve after June 20 when more vaccines would reach Pakistan.

The PM’s special assistant further said that we are locally making load balancing and redistribution to manage the situation across the country.

He said that the government stays in contact with local and provincial administrations deal with the shortfall.

Furthermore, he made it clear that there was no harm if the second dose of vaccine was delayed with the duration of six to eight weeks instead of a routine three to four-week duration.

1,038 new cases of Covid-19

Meanwhile, over 1030 new cases of Coronavirus infection reported during last 24 hours.

According to latest statistics, forty six deaths reported in the country during last twenty four hours.

Furthermore, the NCIOC also confirmed 1,038 new cases of Covid-19 during same period.

It said 42,113 tests carried out over the last twenty four hours, while the positivity ratio remained 2.46 percent.
