President backs online education as the best and easiest way in lockdown.

President Arif Alvi said this during his visit to TeleSchool Project in Islamabad on Thursday.

He declared  the TeleSchool project as impressive and important.

The project launched to enable the students get education from homes in the current lockdown situation.

He said online education is the best and easiest way to provide education to the students.

The President said the online education enables the students to review and revisit the lectures which is not possible in the lectures given by teachers in the class room.

Arif Alvi appreciated the steps taken by the government to bring improvement in the education sector. He said it is a matter of satisfaction that the provinces have also been taken on board on the matter.

Earlier, Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood briefed the President about the Tele School project.

He said this project will be taken forward and a mechanism is being developed to get the feedback of teachers and students in order to further improve this system.

Meanwhile, President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday again advised the people to pray at homes and observe the precautionary measures about Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the Presdient said that the first 17 points of the agreement with Ulema explicitly highlight the health safety measures that need to be followed during prayers and Taraweeh in the holy month of Ramazan.
