A  delegation of Caterers and Marriage Halls Association met Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Multan.

The delegation apprised him of the hardships they were facing during the lockdown.

While talking to them, Qureshi said the government wishes to not only fight the coronavirus, but also to save people from hunger.

He said the number of COVID-19 cases are raising with each passing day.

He warned if the situation remains the same, the government would have to impose a strict lockdown.

Meanwhile, the Foreign Minister showed concern over violation of the SOPs by people issued by the government to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, Coronavirus pandemic has claimed more than 373,000 lives across the world so far.

Over six point two million confirmed cases reported around the world.

The United States is on top of the list with 106,194 deaths followed by the Britain 38,489 and Italy with 33,415 deaths.

More than 2.7 million people have recovered from the infection.

On Sunday, Planning Minister Asad Umar urged shopkeepers to strictly implement “no mask, no service” policy.

He said, while chairing a meeting of National Command and Operation Centre in Islamabad.

He said shopkeepers to implement no mask no service policy while entertaining customers to prevent spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
