Meanwhile, the representative body of Jammu based Muslims, the Jammu Muslim Front has welcomed the decision of local political parties for united struggle.

They hailed united fight for the restoration of special status in the territory under Article 370 and Article 35A.

In a statement issued in Jammu, the JMF said the front stood for the reinstatement of the rights of all residents of Kashmiri people irrespective of any discrimination.

It noted the coming together of Jammu and Kashmir parties to fight a constitutional battle to restore the rights of the people, including Ladakh a welcome step.

Meanwhile, former IOJK Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti condemned the attempts of administration to stifle free press.

The authorities had locked KNS office in Srinagar.

Mehbooba Mufti condemned it in a tweet.

She called harassing and hounding local news agencies like Kashmir News Service for speaking truth highly condemnable.
