During meeting with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad, Governor State Bank Reza Baqir briefed him on Friday.

FM Qureshi expressed the confidence that the government will soon overcome the economic challenges facing the country.

He said increase in foreign exchange amidst coronavirus pandemic reflects overseas Pakistanis’ trust in the economic policies of the current government.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi referred to European Union’s continuation of GSP Plus status for Pakistan.

While citing appreciation of rupee and other economic indicators, he said, these signify that we are heading towards the right direction.

Shah Mahmood said Pakistani ambassadors are introducing investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Furthermore, he said the government’s business friendly policies across the world through economic diplomacy.
