Minister says Railways want to remove all encroachments on KCR track.

Federal Minister for Railways Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the government is working on restoration of Karachi Circular Railway (KCR).

He expressed these views, while talking to the media in Karachi on Saturday.

He further said that KCR revival would resolve the issue of travelling in the mega city.

Sheikh said the government want to remove all encroachments on the track of KCR in minimum time.

The Minister said the government also desires to lay railway track from Peshawar to Jalalabad to improve connectivity between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

Sheikh Rasheed said there is a plan to handover some passenger trains to private sector.

He said the democratic process in the country will continue to strengthen and incumbent government will complete its constitutional term.
