Hafiz Saeed awarded over 10 years imprisonment in illegal funding case.

An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Lahore on Thursday sentenced the leader of the outlawed Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) Hafiz Saeed.

For his involvement in illegal funding case, the court also fined Saeed with a hefty amount of Rs110,000.

Furthermore, the ATC also confiscation of his properties.

Earlier, the ATC had sentenced three other JuD leaders to imprisonment.

They included Zafar Iqbal, Yahya Muhajid, and Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki for illegal funding.

Court convicted Malik Zafar Iqbal and Yahya Mujahid got, ordering 16 years imprisonment for them.

However, ATC awarded Makki a six-month imprisonment sentence.
