Non compliance of Covid SOPs bring closure of educational institutions in the country. 

Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said this, while talking to a private news channel.

He said that government had to take the decision to close down educational institutes due to non-compliance with government-issued coronavirus SOPs.

Shafqat noted students’ health as top priority of government. He called upon students and teachers to continuously cooperate with authorities in curbing the spread of COVID-19.

Furthermore, he also said that the students should focus on self-improvement and to continue learning during the coronavirus pandemic.

Minister said with the help of online platforms, students can revise their lessons.

Moreover, they can practice academic exercises and obtain immediate feedback from their teachers.

Shafqat shared that a near consensus reached during the National Command and Operations Centre meeting on the closure decision.

Earlier, National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Monday apprised that Pakistan records highest positivity ratio during last 24 hours which is 7.46 percent.

The current COVID-19 situation reviewed in the NCOC session held in Islamabad Monday.

After that meeting, Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood addressed a press conference.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan accompanied him.

They announced closure of all educational institutions.
