Senate election to be held on March 03, 2021, according to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

In this regard, the ECP has issued a notification.

According to it, the the candidates  may file nomination paper on 12th and 13th February.

The ECP will make public list of nominated candidates on Sunday.

It will hold scrutiny of nomination papers from 15-16 of this month.

Moreover, it will receive appeals against acceptance or rejection of nominations on 17 and 18th February.

Meanwhile the tribunal will dispose of these appeals on 19th and 20th of this month.

Final list of eligible Candidates will be published on 21st of this month./

Candidates may withdraw by 22nd February.

The polling will be held on 3rd of next month from nine am to five pm in the Parliament House and all provincial Assemblies without any break.

Meanwhile, chairman Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Senator Faisal Javed Khan spoke on the election.

He said that holding of Senate Election on open ballot basis aims at ensuring transparency in election process.

Besides, it aims at eradication of corruption.

No NRO

The PTI senator said, while talking to the media in Islamabad on Thursday.

He further said that opposition is misleading the nation to hide their corrupt practices in the past.

Faisal Javed accused the Opposition of seeking NRO from the government.

However, he made clear that the Prime Minister Imran Khan will not give any NRO to corrupt elements.

He said opposition wants to amend in 34 out of 38 of NAB Laws.

Moreover, the senator said the nation also rejected the narrative of PDM in Lahore.
