Accountability Court adjourns hearing on tosha khana case

National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed tosha khana reference’ against former president Asif Ali Zardari and ex-prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.

The Accountability Court (AC) on Wednesday adjourned hearing till March 4. ‘

It adjourned the case without proceeding today.

The court also granted one-day exemption from hearing to Zardari and Gilani on their lawyers’ request.

Meanwhile, the AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan adjourned hearing on Nehar Khayam plot allotment reference.

That related to fake accounts scam till March 15, due to lawyers’ strike.

Meanwhile, the same court also adjourned hearing on Safa Gold Mall reference till March 3.

The court also took up the third reference against former chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) Farkhand Iqbal pertaining to changing the status of community plot.

In this case, the court sought report regarding the death of a co-accused Muhammad Ishfaq.

Moreover, the court also instructed all the accused to ensure their attendances on March 11.

On the other hand, the opposition parties have been running a campaign against NAB cases.

They termed the cases aimed at victimizing political opponents of the PTI government.

However, the PTI government rejected the charge.

Specially, they highlighted that the PPP and PMLN’s past governments filed cases against one another.
