PM underlines need for deeper cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed these views during a meeting with Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah in Islamabad.

He underscored the need for forging deeper economic, trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Kuwait.

Moreover, the Prime Minister appreciated the two countries working closely to ensure ease of travel and enhancing people-to-people linkages.

Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister also delivered a letter from the Kuwaiti Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister thanked the Kuwaiti leadership for the care they showed to Pakistani expatriates during the pandemic.

He also urged further strengthening of this strong bond of friendship between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Pakistan and Kuwait have agreed to increase the volume of bilateral trade.

They also agreed to develop linkages between Gwadar and Mubarak Al Kabeer Port.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and his Kuwaiti counterpart Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah announced this, while addressing a joint press conference in Islamabad on Thursday.

Qureshi further said Pakistan and Kuwait have also agreed to resolve long standing visa issues of Pakistani community.

He appreciated the role of his Kuwaiti counterpart Dr Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah in this regard.

FM Qureshi said Kuwait has acknowledged and appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in challenging pandemic situation.

He said after looking the professionalism of Pakistani medical staff, Kuwait has expressed interest in inviting more doctors, nurses and technicians to Kuwait.
