Ambassador of China Nong Rong meets Minister Ali Zaidi in Islamabad.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Nong Rong called on Minister for Maritime Affairs, Syed Ali Haider Zaidi.

Both sides held discussion on bilateral cooperation in the maritime sector.

Moreover, they also expressed commitment to utilize the blue economy concept to further strengthen economic ties under the CPEC.

Matters related to making Gwadar Port fully operational also came under discussion.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping has sent a letter to President Dr Arif Alvi.

He wished him a speedy recovery from coronavirus infection.

Furthermore, he said that China will always stand with Pakistan to jointly fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.

He made pledge to make joint efforts to build a closer China-Pakistan community with shared future.

China supports Pakistan peaceful diplomatic policies

Earlier, China reiterated support to Pakistan’s peaceful diplomatic policies.

Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Zhao Lijian said this during his regular briefing held at the International Press Center.

He also expressed warm congratulations on recently celebrated 82nd Pakistan Day.

Furthermore, he said that China supported Pakistan in pursuing peaceful diplomatic polices.

He said China would work with Pakistan to inject more positive energy into the regional peace and stability as well as development.

He said China believe that Pakistani Government and people will make further progress on national building and revitalization.

Meanwhile, President Dr. Arif Alvi also spoke on China on Pakistan Day Parade.

He said we highly appreciate that China also values the All Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between the two countries.

In the speech, President Alvi underlined China is our closest and friendliest country.
