Pakistan has vaccinated more than 1 million citizens against Coronavirus

Pakistan has vaccinated more than 1 million citizens against Coronavirus, said Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar.

In his tweets on Tuesday, he said total vaccinations carried out so far have crossed one million.

He further said that the relevant staff carried out more than 76 thousand vaccinations yesterday.

He said the total number of people registered so far for anti Covid vaccination now stood at over 2 million.

Moreover, the minister asked the people aged above fifty to get themselves registered for the vaccination.

He said increased restrictions, broader lockdowns and strong enforcement of SOPs have started showing their effect.

The Minister further said initial signs of positivity are slowing.

However, he said that due to momentum of last two weeks, patients on critical care and mortality will stay at high levels for some time.

Asad Umar further asked the people to continue to follow SOPs.

Meanwhile, one hundred and three more deaths due to Coronavirus reported across the country during twenty-four hours.

According to latest statistics from National Command and Operation Center, labs conducted 46,665 tests.

As many as 3,953 people tested positive during the last 24 hours.

Now, total active cases of Coronavirus in Pakistan stand at 63,102.

Meanwhile, the death toll due to COVID-19 pandemic has now soared to 14,924.

As many as 618,158 patients have recovered so far.
