Pakistan Customs clear first consignment for Gwadar Free Zone.

In line with the vision and directives of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to boost exports and trade, Pakistan Customs has facilitated the clearance.

It cleared the first import cum export consignment from M/s HK Sun Corporation limited for Gwadar Free Zone.

The consignment would be further processed in Gwadar Free Zone, established under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

According to FBR press statement, later those items would be exported from Pakistan,

The first consignment consisting of metal scrap processed.

Model Customs Collectorate, (A&F) West Karachi made clearance.

Then goods reached Gwadar Free Zone where Model Customs Collectorate Gwadar regulated.

More shipments of raw material of the same company are coming to Pakistan.

Those will be further used in manufacturing of goods to be exported.

FBR sales tax MoU

Meanwhile, Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and all the four provincial revenue authorities Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

They signed MoU for a single sales tax return and single web portal.

According to an FBR press statement issued here, the signing of the MOU became one of the most significant components of harmonization of sales tax initiative.

That currently remains underway between the Federation and the provinces.

Chairman FBR, M. Javed Ghani signed the MoU on behalf of FBR.

Besides, the heads of all provincial revenue authorities signed the document on behalf of their respective departments.
