80 containers reach

Eighty containers loaded with food items including vegetables and fresh fruits have reached at the Afghan border.

Pedestrian movement on the border remains suspended.

Earlier, in a tweet, the Prime Minister stated that despite global pandemic of COVID-19, Pakistan remains committed to supporting the Afghan brothers and sisters.

Many quarters have criticized the government for selective restrictions and precautionary measures.

Coronavirus is pandemic but 41,000 people have come to Pakistan without quarantine.

But the measures target pilgrims returning from Iran via Taftan land border.

Pakistan government has closed the Taftan border with Iran but opened the border with Afghanistan.
